Default List of Quilt Tops made this month, February

Well, I finished the Cathedral Windows quilt top yesterday so I went ahead and got all the quilt tops I worked on this month put up to photograph. Only had to buy one background fabric and that was for the Drunkard's Path quilts (2). All ofher tops were made with what I had on hand. Now I did have to order backings but that's all. Also, one of the tops was an old UFO project, the Cathedral Windows but I remember using only what I had. The fabrics inside the windows were pre-cut 5" and they weren't cut correctly so had to trim them down to 4.5" just to square them up. So the list of tops are these, 2 Movement in Squares, one in browns, one in greens; 2 Drunkard's Path in burgundy and tan; 1 Abstraction in navy, purple and white at 64x64,and the largest one at 95x102 Cathedral Windows with a gold background and batik centers in various colors. The border is an old blender fabric from Connecting Threads I had enough of. I'm just so glad to get these all done now so I can get back to the quilt machine. I'm only showing one of the Drunkard's Path as it seems I can only put up 5 photographs instead of 6.

Wow...pat yourself on the back at all your accomplishments!!!! It feels good to have these done, useable and out of the closet, doesn't it? I, too, have been working on quilting a number of quilts to get them out and donated. I'd rather piece, but once I sit down to quilt them it's not so bad LOL I'm working on a simple baby quilt, then table runner before I tackle another quilt, but may piece a baby quilt in between for a diversion.
All your quilts are lovely and your piecing and color choices are perfect. Thanks for sharing your parade of quilts!

You have been so much more productive than me! I love all your quilts, but my favorite would be that Cathedral Windows. Such vibrant colors!

Wow, that was quite an accomplishment, and in a short month too. Lovely quilts all.

Dunster, that quilt was made with miscut pre-cut 5" squares in the center, mostly all batiks, the gold background is various gold fabrics in my stash though I used the same along the outer edge and the border gold was some of my blender fabrics from Connecting Thread. Only needed to order a backing for this quilt and I'll never make another one this big, believe me. Each row of flaps that had to be stitched down took 1.5hr so x 9 rows (10 blocks), right there took quite a bit of time, then add stitching up all the blocks 9 x 10 = 90, I used Missouri Star Quilt tutorial from a number of years ago. Yes, I love the quilt and have no clue who it will go to once it's quilted.

    Thanks for the compliment.

sewbizgirl, the Abstraction needed a special ruler so reason why I pulled out the UFO Cathedral Windows to work on. The ruler did make trimming the blocks nicely so I'm glad I ordered it. Loved how this quilt came out though I'm not a fan of square quilts but I'm sure the young man that will eventually get this quilt will like it.
