    Default Crimson Ice Geese

I received a wonderful box of scraps from Iceblossom and included in it were a handful of HSTs that were leftover from her past Bonnie Hunter quilt. I had some coordinating reds and was able to put together a quilt that, I think, works pretty well. the HSTs were sewn together into flying geese pairs, rotated around, and sashed. additional leftovers were used on the back. Quilted with a basic meander. final size is about 36x42. Thank you for sharing your scraps with me!

Looks great! Iceblossom once shared some pieces with me, when I first started quilting.I made some quilts for children and one was an I Spy quilt. Very appreciative to her, me and the children.

How wonderful to see a completed project! Nothing would have happened if they stayed with me.

A couple of years ago on the Bonnnie Hunter project that year (Rhododendron Path) I made a mistake and made an double set of an entire clue, mostly HST kazillions of them.

This year I used a bunch of the same fabrics for Old Town, and came across the bag of pieces and in they went to the crumb box which went back to Washington state where they finally got used.

Thank you for sharing your creativity and completed project!!

What a creative use of the HSTs and more. Love it.

Nice job using orphan blocks and your own scraps. Doesn't it give you a great feeling when you come up with such an idea of how to use them up? I know it does me.
