    Default Sash in a Dash

I bought some of this a few months ago, I had never seen it before. I think it's a great product for QAYG. Has anyone tried to make you own? Here is short video that show the product.

Interesting concept, have you used yours yet? I just wonder how the fabric compares to your actual fabric in your project? Is it rougher? Thinner? Same colour? Similar to the premade bias tape/bindings?

I make my own using bias binding tools, whatever size I want. Sorry but to me, this is just another way to take my money, and no guarantee of them having the correct color needed,

it isn't something i'd buy but i can see how it might catch on - especially among QAYGers who are pressed for time.

I love this idea and thank you for sharing as I am in a rush on a quilt as you go baby blanket, so will definitely check out if it is available on Amazon.

I've never made a QAYG, but if I did I'd probably check this out. Interesting concept.

Something to note is that the sashing will cover 1" of the block. If you make a star block that the points are 1/4" from the edge and try to use this sashing, the points will be cut off with the sashing.

Holy cow!!!!!! I agree 100% with Gay! Just checked out the item on Amazon, they want $269.00 for 50 yards and apparently the only length you can get. Besides, a close up of the picture they show---the fabric must be very thin as you can see right through it. Looking the pictures over that they show, I can make that myself and I'd rather put in the time myself doing that than spending that kind of money. It's a very good concept, but very pricey!

I personally do not shop anything Amazon. I do not like the idea that they will be the only store. I shop Walmart and Hobby Lobby for my crafting projects. Since I moved to a new city l now have to go to the hobby lobby to get my fabric if I want more than one yard of any specific fabric.l can still get my notions at Walmart but they are closing out the fabric portion except for the 1 yard pre-packaged fabric.

Don’t like it but I can deal with it. Again this is due to Amazon. The Walmart lady said they are not going to charge the same prices as they would lose customers.

I don’t think I will ever do a qayg as my quilt frames are 2x4’ . I sit them out on 2 folding tables. I can move them around easily.
