    Default Firecracker Flattie

I have completed the top for the Firecracker quilt, but not sure if borderless would have been better. I included pics of both. Each block took about an hour, mainly because of constant starching, ironing, and clapping. No foundation used, just made a clear plastic rectangle as a guide. (I marked one corner to aid in direction of "rays").
Now I am ready to quilt it on the sit down longarm, but need suggestions in the beginner range, please?

A basic meander would be my choice because of all the seams.

Wow! That is one blue quilt. I would do an easy big quilting pattern. No one will see the quilting.

I like the blue border, but I also like it without the border. You can't go wrong either way in my opinion.

I like it better with the borders.

Wow! There are a lot of pieces in those blocks!

That is a wonderful piece of art. I agree that any quilting will disappear so do something "easy".

I prefer adding borders to any of my quilts as to me it frames them.

I prefer the borders to frame it. If it were me I would quilt it from the back. I have a sit-down and I have trouble seeing where I have gone in my quilting designs if the top is busy. I would definitely have difficulty with all that is going on in this top. Just a suggestion. If your tension is okay, you will be fine. You scrappy quilt is definitely a work of art. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Great idea! I have never quilted from the back. I cut the border from the wide back that I plan to use on the back.
