I recently bought a fancy-dancy chalk pencil -- the kind that comes with a gazillion "lead" in different colors. I really liked using it... until I realized (too late, of course) that you weren't supposed to iron over it....

I had added some small placement guides for an applique and the final version ended up being in a slightly different space. After I ironed and stitched the pieces down, I tried to rub out the markings, but they aren't budging. I tried spraying them with water and rubbing: some improvement, but they're still there.

Any suggestions??

Maybe washing the quilt. A little more water than just spraying. I received one from a friend who had two and haven't open it yet. Is good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
