Hello from Vail AZ

Hello All -
I joined a little while ago, but didn't introduce myself! I've been sewing for about 40 years, but quilting for about 3. I moved to AZ (from Upstate NY) in 2004 and after settling in, realized that gardening wasn't going to cut it in AZ, so I was fortunate enough to meet a now really good friend that was into quilting (she actually grew up 30 miles from me in Upstate NY - small world). I have substituted quilting for gardening (but still maintain some raised beds of mini-roses here in AZ) and have become totally obsessed! My friends and family have said "stop giving us quilts", so I have begun to concentrate on quilts for Project Linus, Wounded Warriors, and various local charities (zoo and Desert Museum fundraisers). I can't imagine not quilting!! :)

Thank you for your warm welcomes. I guess I have a fairly small family! But, there are plenty of places that can use quilts and I plan on supplying them as much as I am able!! It's the ideas, creativity, and finishing that makes it what it is!! To all - keep on stitchin'
