Mom gave me 4 1/2 yds fabric. She would like me to make her a quilt. It's a LARGE print of bright orange, lime green and white flowers on a dark brown background. (I would like buy some solid lime green and some sort of white with an orange scroll design to go with it.) If I cut it to fit most patterns then it will take away the design. Any suggestions on a bed quilt pattern for large scale flower print?

How about a large-scale warm wishes? Here's a link to a free pattern from quiltmaker. Good luck, and don't forget to show us the finished product!

I just printed the pattern out. Very pretty. If I don't use it for this fabric...I'm sure that I'll use it for another. Thank you.

I will go to the site and have a look. I really like that reddish quilt in your pictures. And it has nice big blocks. Thanks!

There is also Just Can't Cut It by All Washed Up. I have made this three times now. I posted pics of the first one I did here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-8254-1.htm

I finished a great baby quilt at retreat last weekend and have a flannel one that I finished at Christmas I need to piece the back and am dreading it. I will try and get photos up this week.

I looked at your post and really liked the quilt. Perfect for a large scale print. This morning I didn't have any idea of what to do with this fabric and now I have all kinds. Thanks! Is Just Can't Cut It a book?

Warm Wishes looks like it would be perfect for that type of fabric.

Does the fabric seem like the type that you could do a OBW?

I think that I'm looking for something that I could do one block or maybe a solid block with this fabric & then another block with colors that blend. My husband is playing golf right now & the camera is in his van. When he gets home I will try to post a picture of the fabric and maybe it will give you more ideas. Thanks!
