Does anyone have a Singer Futura CE 250? I am researching sewing/embroidery machines and would appreciate any feedback, positive or negative. TIA

I have the Singer Futura SE 1000 pretty much the same machine. Although, I believe the 250 has many more stitches. I love the machine, because:
It can do many formats of embroidery.
It can sew.
It is a machine that I can design alot of my own embroidery.
It came with alot of the nec. software.
It also can be "eventually" able to do the larger embroideries by buying the ext cable.
The only con. I see for this machine so far is that to use the software you have to be conected to the computer.
Other then that, I really love my machine.

You may want to check the hoop sizes of the CE250, I have the CE200 and the largest frame available is 4" X 6" I heard that the 250 is about the same. Many of the smallest embroidery designs now are bigger than that.... It does not have as many bells and whistles as I would like either, regarding embroidery. I wish that I would have waited, saved, and bought a machine in the $1000 range.

I have the CE 200 and I am pretty happy with it. I have two different hoop sizes. I think it's a 4x4 and 5x7. I've had it for about a year & 1/2 and haven't had too much trouble with it.

I bought the ce-200 3 yrs ago.I was going to trade it in for the ce-250 until I was told by a singer dealer that I would have all that the 250 has if I was to buy the ce-200 upgrade. You know what ?.I saved a ton load of money and I really do have all that the 250 has.

I know this is an old topic but wanted to comment on the Singer Futura CE250. I bought mine about 4 yrs ago and have enjoyed it sooooo much. I have done so many designs and had alot of success with it. I highly recommend this machine. I made the plunge and last night ordered the Futura quartet which is Singers newest embroidery machine. It has a few new features and a much larger hoop which enticed me. It has a new hoop system and threads differently. I am really hoping it will be as good as my CE250.

I know this is an older post, but I was hoping someone could help me with my futura CE-250. I can't seem to get it loaded without it giving me an error code telling me to check the connection and usb cable. I've sent a message to future support, but it's only been a day and no reply. I have loaded it on two different computers, one has windows 7 and the other is XP....can anyone HELP?
I'm also going to start a new topic since I'm anxious to get started on Halloween Bags. Thanks in advance
