My DH had a terrible cold a couple of weeks ago. I thought I had dodged the bullet, but it hit me hard a couple of days ago. I seldom get colds but this one is a lulu. My throat feels like I've swallowed acid, my nose is running and when I cough it hurts my throat so much. I've been gargling with warm salt water and using menthol cough drops but I am still miserable. I did a little sewing yesterday before I gave up.I wouldn't wish this on anyone........ :x

Ditter..I just got over the same cold..it took 2 weeks to do it. Hope you are feeling better soon. I had to go to the doctor for meds. It was miserable.
Peace and blessings,

{{{{{hugs}}}}} You're right, summer colds are awful. It's so beautiful outside and you want to be outside but don't feel up to it. I really hope you feel better soon.

I am still getting over one from last week. Had to take 2 days off work and I haven't taken any time off in the year I've been here!
It was a nasty one and I still feel it lingering :(

Almost 3 year old granddaughter arrived Monday morning with the sniffles. I fought off her cold the best I could - Zicam, ginger drops, vicks. This morning I woke with a raw throat - hurt so bad to swallow. I got out of bed and made a cup of tea with honey and took some aspirin. Gargled with diluted peroxide after I brushed my teeth. Later took cold pills and gargled with salt water - that helped the best. Now it is in my sinuses. So much going on the next 2 weeks! It's not like you can go to the doctor and they give you a miracle cold cure - it's got to run it's course. :(
