No! you can use what ever side you like. Some times the color you really is on the back side. So go ahead, I know I would. Happy Sewing :D

When you bought that fabric you paid for the front side and the back side.. Use whichever side you want.. they're both yours!! I've done that many times... sometimes the back side is softer and prettier.

Once I made a Hawaiian shirt for hubby, and a matching dress for me.. (can you tell how long ago that was?) I had the hardest time keeping the back side out.. you know we always put right sides together. That's the biggest problem you have with using the back side!

I think many people use the wrong side if it gives them the effect they are looking for. It's your fabric and your quilt--do with it what you want. Oh, and show us the results!

You paid for both sides of your fabric, use whichever one suits your fancy

I've seen on TV shows where they reversed the fabric. Not a problem.

I completely agree. Once you buy a piece of fabric, it belongs to you, and you get to decide which is the "right" side.

A teacher in a quilting class that I attended said to always look at both sides of a fabric--you might like the back better than the front! I have used the back of fabrics in landscape quilts. As others have said here, there are no rules. Enjoy and have fun!

There are no rules, no quilt police, and no wrong if it's the right side for you.... Go for it.
