I'm not waiting, but then I haven't ordered. Fortunately I have about 3 new blades left. Almost got a new one at Hobby Lobby the other day, but when I looked and it said $5.99, I told my DH I'll just order them on the internet. But HF shows a back order. Maybe I should order now, even if I don't get them until October. For the price, that is a huge difference. We don't have an HF around here that I know of.

Maybe I did not ask for the right thing. Will have to go back when I am in that area of town.

This is what I love about this board - all the things you learn.

Son lives in Seattle area and going to ask him to check. He is coming home to NH for the first time in 7 yrs. We all can't wait. I will try online at the stores in his area. Thanks again.

went to the one here and got two pkgs. I just ask for the carpet blades and they told me where they were at.
Thank for telling me about them.

I was wondering why everyone seems to be buying blades frequently instead of sharpening them?

The Sunday newspaper "inserts" had a HB flyer; there was a $2 coupon on anything and a "free mini flashlight.

I am not sure this is available every week or not.

here is quick way to double the life of a rotary blade, turn it over. Since we are all one handed, lefty or righty, we tend to wear out the blade one one side more than the other. Just take apart the cutter, flip over the blade and add a drop of oil. It is the same principal as a righty trading a potato peeler with a lefty to keep on peeling those spuds.

Now how simple, I've never thought to turn my blades over either.
Must do that next time.

I am still waiting for my order, but they didn't tell me when I ordered that it would be a back order. However I really expect that it is.
