As I type this, my DD is purchasing the last 4 from another HF store, again with a coupon. I'm thinking of surprising my Bee with a package for each of the 6 members. We'll have to check out the longevity of the blades. Hopefully they last as long (or even longer) than the regular rotary cutter blades. Again, thanks to the sharp eyed QB Quilter who found this treasure. Belles
When I told my DH about the blades, he commented that HF
sells CHEAP merchandise - and people who shop there regularly know this, and don't expect things to last a long time. But it is a great place for buying gadgets and general supplies.

I went to Harbor Freight yesterday when their freight comes in and their blades were back ordered. The manager said their warehouse was out also. They did have the cutters with blades though. The mgr. asked me if I was with a quilting group, so they now know why they are getting a run on blades.

My friend who is a seamstress, told me she saves her old blades, marks them old! Then when she needs to cut paper or anything other than fabric, she says they still got much life in them. Like she will cut off on a roll of birthday paper, and quick. So that is what I am doing.

Why do you need more than 5 packages of blades? How many can you use at once?

They'll make more.

Just came back from Harbor Freight, the blades were at $1.99, I only bought 3 packs, I left about 6 packs on the rack. I asked the man when they went to $1.99, as they were just 1.49, he said that he re-priced them this morning. Just my luck to go a day late !
