Sometimes we spend so much time here on the board that we don't have a clue what's going on out there in the "other" world, but if you live along the east coast there is a big bad hurricane named Earl coming at you. You might want to check the weather forecast in your area ;)

We are on the West Coast, I wish we had some bands of rain headed towards us. Would cut down on the fire danger here.

Be safe all you east coast quilt family members.

SHUT THE WINDOWS, DOORS AND HANG ON !!

Thanks for the warning...most of us are very aware of the pending blower.
The gas lines are long, the store shelves are emptying quick and there is no plywood, nails, or generators left anywhere in the Virginia Beach area.

Too far inland ( Western Maryland ) to get anything, sure could use some rain, been very dry & hot.
Thanks for the warning anyway. :-)

That is why I was at the grocery store at 7 am to get what we needed. I'm ready-let it blow.

We will know by tomorrow just how bad it is going to be. I am on the coast of RI...we will get heavy surf, erosion, lots of wind and rain regardless....just hope it doesn't come to far inland. We haven't a big storm for a long time

Thank you so much...we are 35 miles to the Chesapeake Bay, if it comes up the bay, it will be bad news. We are ready, keroscene lamps and treadle machine. Its a go..
