I have a designer 1 & quilted a king quilt with it . Use your embroidery hoop & quilt a design . I haven't been quilting a long time . There are very easy design to use in the hoop..

I like the pictures of before, during and after. The colours a joyous and the effect splendid. I too struggle with the size of quilts and cannot afford to get them professionally quilted so good luck with that one.

That is simply gorgeous! You should be proud, very proud.

Give consideration to doing the quilting in sections, I haven't done it yet but you put batting in the center third for instance, quilt it, then do each side .... Marti Michell has a book or two on quilting in sections.
