I am suddenly taken with the scrappy bug. I am sitting at my sewing machine with tons of scraps around me happily ironing, sewing and cutting. I would like to make aprons, should I line them so the seams don't fray after the many washings aprons need?

Has anyone made placemats or anything else?

I made a tree skirt for my DD, but didn't take a pic of it!

Also a table cloth, placemats and napkins for my "mommy" ! She's really a dear friend that doesn't have any children of her own and has kind of adopted me as her "daughter"!!

My jacket shown in my avatar is made of scraps. The only purchased part was the lining. It was fun to use up some of my scraps and make something I could show off now and then.

I love this! Did you have a pattern, or just make it up as you go?

I'm glad you like it. I made it up as I went along filling up the space needed for each sleeve, the front sides and back.
I needed to make the blocks no bigger than 4" and some are just filler pieces. I just knew I wanted to include some seminole piecing, assorted star blocks and easy piecing. No paper piecing involved.
