Which one holds up better through washings? Thanks!

I'm not sure. However, I found through experience that most fleeces will not pill if they are washed only with other fleeces, while most anti-pill fleeces will pill anyway if they are washed with woven fabrics (that will rub against them in the machine).

Malden Mills, manufacturer of Polartec fleece, recommends minimum detergent and no fabric softner!! The softner does something to the fibers.
