I have never quilted before. I am Dressmaker having for the past 44yrs. I have always wanted to learn to quilt, but, was afraid to start. I have tried some simplebut never could make my squares seans match up. If anyone can help me with seam matching and anyother quilting hints please do so. I greatly appreciate the help.
Thank you for you help.

Welcome from the great state of Texas! Claudia, if your are near Dallas Texas, let me know...as I teach beginners in quilting and applique. But if not...we can share and start with just sending notes back and forth.

First of all, can you and your machine sew an accurate 1/4"?
This is very important. Let me know if you can? And we will start there.

Glad you have joined us...and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hello and welcome to the board from Germany :-). The next important thing after the accurate 1/4 " seam is correct pinning. Practise makes perfect. Enjoy the process :).

Hi and welcome from Alaska. Love your name. My hubby's first name is Claude and I wanted to name my first daughter Claudia or Claudette--he at the time did not like his name so he would not hear of it. Now he likes his name although we still use his middle name. It pops up on caller ID as Claude so a friend of mine and her hubby call me Claudia. HA None of our children have any part of Claude in their names.
