    Crumb blocks are finally in a quilt! I sashiko stitched around each one, and around the crumb border, as well.

    Basically, it's a very even running stitch embroidery. The Japanese traditional sashiko can be done in even lines, or simple patterns. I did lines. It's kind of my way of hand quilting, without having to be a good hand quilter. I think you can kind of see it in this pic...

    Cool! I love the sashing between the blocks - have never seen a "crumbs" quilt done this way.
