I asked my husband to spend the day with me and take a ride someplace. Well, we headed out and ended up at one of my favorite quilting shops about an hour away. We then left and had lunch at an Irish Pub (well, kind of). On the way back home, he stopped at an antique shop that said "Quilts". The quilts were nice. But I really liked the old pin cushions! I also liked an opal ring in one of the cases. It's turn of the century, very dainty but ornate.

We left the antique store without buying anything - I don't like to spend money on myself - He got half way to the car and said he was going back to use the Men's room. I didn't think anything of it and waited - gave the dogs some water. He's not a big one for surpises or anything. And he's already finished his Christmas shopping.

He came back to the car and said he was going to buy me one of the pin cushions but didn't know which one was best.... sooooooo I bought you this. It was the ring!!!!

What a wonderful day!!!
