Have you considered a small print floral in the white areas? A solid tan would work too.

I like the white but just offering another solution.

Gold with a tinge of tan in it? Still the Packers color, but maybe a little more masculine, and it would be easier to keep a clean look.

My only suggestion is maybe a flannel backing b/c I heard treatments make people cold.

There's no rule that says you have to use all one background color. Use the yellow background on the green stars and the green background on the yellow stars. A lot of teams also have a third color. Check and see what the Packers third color is and maybe use it.

What about a dark gray? not quite black but will still allow the green and yellow to stand out.

Creamy mottled fabric like the Moda Marbles would be my choice. I'm not a fan of white unless there's no choice.

Might also want to make a matching bag, doesn't have to be pieced, just the same fabric. If possible, line it with a slippery fabric so the quilt slides in and out easily.

I say use yellow, too. ANY color will show stains!!!! If you look hard enough!
