Great going Candi, a dozen blocks done. I am just finishing up my 13th block. Things may come to a halt because I am driving down to Davie tomorrow to babysit my great grandson for 3 days. I will be back home on Sat. and I'll probably sleep all afternoon. He is a real livewire but I love him dearly.

As for anyone that still wants to start, let me share my perspective.
I KNEW I could never keep up...health issues slow me down, and family.
I have a dd that has serious health problems and she is still a babe, but she has two of her own and i HAVE to be there for them, so that takes a lot of my time too.
Having said all that, I don't care how long it takes, I will plod on and on and on with this quilt, bc I love it and I love my fabrics and this is the first time I have been in a big group sew and it's a lovely experience.
So much more fun than sitting on the sidelines.
Jump in with us and see...you can always "fade" away if you want/need to, but I bet you won't!!! :XD:
The more the merrier :D :D :D

Molly from the look of the quilt in your avatar you MUST join us!!!! It is absolutely gorgeous!!! Just work at your own pace onthe AOTH! I thought I was going to be behind, but once I got started, I was amazed at how quickly I actually got ahead of the game!   I wasn't trying to crank them out really fast, but I work on them while watching TV and before I know it I have a block completed! My problem is that I hate having to stop to prep the next few blocks! I wish I had someone who did that for me so I could just stitch them!!!

Yippee...I made some progress today! I finally finished taking all the batting off for the trapunto (decided to do it differently) and I got ALL my blocks trimmed and ready to sew together. (well...except the setting triangles- I can do those as I go)..We hung it all on the design wall to make sure of the layout.. (I ignored the one in the book)

So...here it is ready to go together. Do ya'll see any blocks that need to be moved or switched???

I do have those 2 missing square blocks finished now also.

OMGoodness!!!!!  Patti, that is absolutely stunning!!! I LOVE it!!!!!!!   I wouldn't change a thing!!! Well, except for putting in those two "missing" blocks!

Like you I'm probably going to ignore the layout in the book. I have a couple of my blocks that if I put them where they should be, I don't think they will look as nice in those positions.

Now the big question for you: what are you doing for the narrow border? :D :D
