Just have to vent here. Why don't quilt shops give you a picture of the of the back of a pattern so you know how much fabric you need. I found the perfect pattern and the perfect fabric but don't know how much fabric to buy. I don't want to pick up the phone and call the quilt shop that is too much work on this snowy day.

I'm looking at the pattern Strip Search - anyone out there have it handy? Thanks!

I know! I have thought that a million times before. I didnt have access to quilt stores before so I had to buy everything online. It is such a bummer to order a pattern online and then have to WAIT for it to arrive before you can order the fabric!

OMG! ME TOO!!! SO irritating! Like we would figure out the pattern by knowing the yardage!! Can we say "DUH!"

Whew! Sorry for yelling, I feel better! LOL

I have been waiting for someone to vent about this. I thought it was me and everyone else knew how to figure out the fabric requirements. Now that we know we are not alone, what do we do???

Can you send them an email ? Also mention in the email about the fabric requirements being posted with the pattern , it may not be something they had thought about before

This makes me crazy too! FYI, I bounced around online a bit and found that the lap size (46 x 61) requires 39, 2.5-inch strips. Nancy's Notions had this info (but still no pic of the back).

I find that if I send an email to the customer service division of the store, I usually get an answer back within 24 hours or so. Why don't you email them with your question -- and suggest putting the fabric amount info with the pic of the pattern.
