I love making tablerunners. They will fit in so many places, not just the dining room table, plus changing them out frequently gives the room a totallly different look.

Here are two I made using the 10 min. pattern. They can be fancied up as much as you like. They look much better in real settings.

Me too! I've been drooling over some of the tablerunner pictures that have been posted.

I've only made a couple, but I don't use them on the table. I hung them on the wall of my computer room, along with some other wallhangings I've made.

I think I am the only one who doesn't use table runners on my table. I place one on my coffee table in the living room as I have a DS who likes to put his feet on the coffee table. I sometimes place one on the hearth in from of the fire place too. It just looks nice there.

I use some on the table, some on the island in my kitchen and some I hang on the wall.

Tablerunners are fun to make and are terrific for a dining room, breakfast table or for special gifts! They are also a great way to learn any special techniques in sewing :)

make them for myself and my family. we all use them regularly. I change mine out for differnt seasons. cheap way to have a fresh look every few months. definitely not a useless project.

I have made a couple, but don;t use them. Mainly because Her Royal Highness, the Princess, thinks they're her nap mats! The other reason is that we don't use our dining room table for eating anymore. Have a table in kitchen also, but usually eat in living room with the TV on.
