(say that 3 times fast) :D

My dear friend in AZ recently bought some of this, and I'm embarrassed to say that I've never used it. I thought she was nuts when she said they are still making it, as I know its an older fabric. I'd like to know your experience with it. She says it is beautiful, and makes certain colors in your design "shimmer" and light up.

Can't believe its 10 years old and still popular. Any thoughts?

It was on of the first lines of "blender" fabrics, like Marbles. It came in a gazillion colors. I still have a lot in my stash and use it whenever that particular color is needed.

I had heard that Pat Campbell (the designer) was very ill a few years ago. I hope she's recovered.

Moda Marbles are still being made and I can't remember when they first came out. These are some of the old stand-bys that will never go out of style.

According to the Benartex website . . . "It's unheard of in textile history---a fabric still hot in demand after 17 years! There are several reasons why Fossil Fern has endured over a decade. The colors mirror all the intricate hues of nature. The prints can be used in any project, time and again. And...the subtly textured fabrics bring light and movement to any design."

Guess the designer hit it out of the park on this one.

Have used it in a couple of trip around the world quilts.
One is a queen size flannel. Looks great.

I love fossil fern fabric. I like it well above moda marbles which seem more flat to me. Thumbs up from me for the fossil fern fabric.

I got a FF charm pack a couple years back ~ haven't used it yet, its like 50 colors, and I'm afraid I'll pick a pattern and ruin the beauty of the fabrics... I guess its time to layout all those squares and see what I got... (heads off to sewing lair to unearth Fossils)
