Default Featherweight in need of help!

This weekend I took apart my wedding dress and cut out a christening gown for my baby. I was sewing it together on my FW and it stopped moving! The motor runs, the belt moves, and when I move the hand wheel as the needle goes down it gets hard to turn and makes a clicking sound. I took it apart, cleaned and oiled all the moving parts, still not moving to great. And suggestions as to what the issue may be?

NL quilter,

Lift the draw bridge, pull the bobbin case out and look real close for thread stuck in or behind the bobbin case. FWs are prone to getting thread stuck this way and it will bring them to a dead halt right quick.

For instructions on how to clear this if it's the case, go here: { http://thefeatherweight221factory.com/page10.php } Look down to the bottom of the left side of the page.

Also, my tech. taught me that the bobbin area has little gear-looking things which need oil after every time we sew. Just take out the bobbin, turn the wheel until you see these little gear-looking things, and oil them. It loosens them up and your machine just runs so much better. Mariah.

My little FW was doing that and I found it had a small thread wrapped behind the bobbin race. Got it out - oiled the race and it sews great again!

Joe, I do think there is thread there, I can't get the gib screw out, it's so small I don't have a screwdriver small enough to fit. Guess ill be heading to the hardware store tomorrow.
