Default Centaur II Bobbins

Hi, I picked up a baggie of these Singer Centaur II bobbins from a thrift store plus some feet also. Never have seen these kind of bobbins before. Does anyone know what kind of Singer sewing machine they work with. Newer fancier machines or older ones? Thanks! It says on package exclusive metal spring...bobbin winds in place for ultra unlimited or stylist. Tried to find online with no luck.

The Centaur II is an older machine(might be 1970's or 80's). You may have a difficult time finding one. They have plastic gears and the bobbin winder was problematic. This website http://www.ecrater.com/p/14639931/si...sewing-machine lists other models that use this bobbin. There is an Ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/6268-Singer-...item3a8785a939 that uses this type bobbin. Check out the pictures. You can see the bobbin in the bobbin race.

My old singer 6267 uses these bobbins. Even though I've replaced this machine with a newer one with more features, I keep it for "heavy duty" sewing and satin stitch projects. I purchased the machine in 1987. I never had problems with the bobbin winder. In fact, LOVED the feature that allowed you to rewind the bobbin in the machine whithout ever having to take it out! The bobbins were expensive at the time, and I always bought them when there was a sale or coupon.
