Scrappy Patchwork Coat of USA Olympic Snowboarder
http://www.twcc.com/news/articles/20...-in-slopestyle
Snowboarders have always had their own sense of style. This woman's coat reminds me of the patchwork style I grew up with- make it do or do without. I've been prepping a lot of men's shirts that look like these fabrics for Bonnie Hunter style scrappy quilts. I will have to look around the web later to see if I can find out about the designing of these coats.
I haven't watched much of these Olympics. I recently met someone who works in a flag company so I've been looking at the flag designs and structure with a new appreciation.

Here is an LA Times article I found that may help in some of the info Monroe.

According to the article the collection was based on a vintage quilt the designers ran across in Brimfield, Mass. Burton Snowboards (I think) are the designers. Good luck with your search.

As a quilter, I was thinking this same thing last night watching Jamie Anderson come in GOLD..... (I hope I don't have her winning mixed up with the skaters.....)anyway, I thought to myself, "she is wearing a pieced quilt jacket", but I didn't realize others are also. I guess I'll find out because I am watching the Olympics to the exclusion of everything else TV......
