Default US Olympic Athlete's Opening Clothing "American Patchwork Quilt" Inspired

Per Ralph Lauren, this year's US Olympic athlete's opening clothing was inspired by "Americana Patchwork Quilts"! What a fun, colorful red, white and blue design and so nice to see quilting recognized worldwide!!

I too saw the preview of the opening ceremony clothing... and had the same reaction! When they said "inspired by a long American tradition .. quilting" I smiled and thought "Yippee".

Am I the only one that thinks they are ugly? I think the sweaters look like ugly Christmas sweaters. At least they are made in the USA.
