Default "fixed" a lamp

I used my lamp from my sewing table to hold a grow light bulb to start seeds. Did not realize that the thin plastic shade would turn brittle and disintegrate. Looked everywhere and even emailed the company but could not get a replacement shade. Thought all was lost, but then...... Found a cute little melamine flowerpot that was the perfect size. Used a hole saw the size of the lamp socket and some E9000 glue. I think it looks better than new. I may even "fix" my other lamps that are not broke. And with a nice LED bulb it's incredibly bright.

Ingenious solution -- love it when things get recycled rather than tossed and replaced.

Love it. Once re-wired a lamp and it was one of my greatest achievements!!
