Default Judy Niemeyer's Paddlewheel (From American Patchwork and Quilting - April 2015)

Normally, I won't post an unfinished top because I'm more a long arm quilter than a piecing quilter but this one actually turned out. Besides, the foundation papers are free and I want everyone to know where to find them! It's really one of the best ways to "preview" one of her patterns and her method.

It's going to be a beautiful wall hanging. Thanks for posting the free pattern.

As a fellow LAquilter I would be salivating like Pavlov's dog over this. Look at all that negative space to do some knock out quilting in! I love that deep cobalt blue fabric you used too. Please make sure you post the finished product.

Yeah, there may be a few drool marks on this one and the magazine it came out of.

I have 3 quilts in front of this one, so it might not be until December or even early January now until this one gets on the frame but I will probably be doodling on pictures of it from now until then but I will post what I come up with. I don't have many pieces that show what I can do, so I'm hoping to be able to hang this one somewhere where people will be able to see it when they come to the house.
