Default Quilt labels on embroidery machine help needed

I received a machine embroidery quilt label package as a gift and would like to use it. It includes only the frames. So now that I've experimented and failed I need help.

What font and what size makes for usable, READABLE, quilt label?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are fonts digitized specifically for quilt labels. You probably don't want to try and resize larger ones.
here are some that I have worked with:

Jolson has a lot of fonts that come in very small sizes. You get a variety of sizes so read the descriptions.

I've used the small size fonts built in my machines and used a purchased font. It takes some experimenting. I've found that sometimes with a purchased tiny font that using a thinner 60wt thread sometimes helps the lettering look better. I try to keep my embroidered labels simple, short and sweet so it's easier to fit the lettering inside the frame. Here's a couple I did with the built in font in my Janome 350 with a purchased frame.

I use the built in fonts in my machine which are available in three sizes. These can also be increased or decreased beyond this by up to 20% either way, as can the chosen frame (Janome 12000).

what kind of machine do you have. You'll probably have to work around that.
    Cari, love your labels.
some machines, you cane all you want then resize it. That's what I do.
After I get my info down, I then resize it to about 3 x 4 or a bit larger.

I do like Cari and Lynnie - figure out what I want it to say then add the frame. My daughter wanted to have names put on jackets and I stitched out about 6 different sizes for her to decide. You might want to try that with your machine. Pick out a saying or a few words then make them in different sizes on a test fabric. Then with a fabric pen write the sizes and style on it for you to remember which each one is.
