Bernina 230 Activa
I hope someone can help me. I just got my machine back from having it cleaned and looked at. No problems. Just routine. Yesterday I put 7 new buttonholes in my mil's blouse. Today I put binding on 3 quilts. All of a sudden the stitch length went wacky. It wasn't at the 3 but more like 5 and it will no longer go in reverse. Grr. I have tried everything. Turned off for couple hours, rethreaded, both top and bobbin, changed feet, changed needle. Tried different bobbin and thread... nothing is working. I am waiting for a call back from my repairman, but wondered if anyone had any ideas. Thanks ladies and gents.

Sounds like maybe the feed system stepping motor came unplugged. Or the feed linkage in the front needs a little more oil or grease. Or the little spring on the front linkage popped off. Or the circuit board.... Let's just hope it's not the circuit board.
Take it back. Your tech will be able to figure it out and fix it up quick. It's a great machine! That's what I sew on, too.
