Default Vintage Rose

Yes, I bought the Judy Neimeyer pattern Vintage Rose. Is anyone else working on this quilt? I've subscribed to Quiltster but only for one month. And I've been playing with all the different fabric colors. Have an idea of what I want to do. I'm going to use my batik stash. It's awful that I've collected so much fabric and continue to buy more. I will need to buy more for the larger sections. Going to a retreat next week and am starting on the center pieces.

All of Judy Neimeyer patterns can be found at www.quiltworx.com. I've done good shopping in my own stash. Still need a contrasting lighter red/pink. Will go to the quilt store tomorrow. I'm planning a dark brown center with yellow. I was thinking of pink petals but found LOTS of reds. So, my petals are red. The whole pattern looks like a big flower. It's all paper pieced. Guess I'm ready. Just need to go over all of my packed stuff.

I finished mine not long ago. I didn't use quiltster, I just went with one of the listing they had on Quiltworx so I could print out the yardage. My colors weren't exactly the same but close enough. If you are on Facebook, you might sign up for their site, they usually have instructors who can offer help if you have any questions along the way. The other thing is to take it a step at a time as it can be confusing. The instructions are very good if you follow them.

Here's where I posted mine: Vintage Rose

Another Wow! for SuziSew, and Sewingitall in advance for attempting such a thing.

I have a friend who has done a number of the Judy Neimeyer kits/patterns, they've all been fantastic.
