Default donate a ton of scraps

My friend is a (new to this district) middle school art teacher that is teaching virtual due tteo pandemic. While she has classroom sets of water colors, etc, her kiddos are working from home and more than just one classroom.. So my Hubs and Idecided that we'd make her our monthly "charity" and gave her a check to go out and buy more art supplies to get to students. And since she was thinking maybe a weaving project , or textile sculpture scraps yesterday a hauled 3o large (garage bag size) bags of strings to can her--now I can actually walk into the walk-in closet where I keep fabrics, etc.
If you have schools doing lots of virtual classes, I encourage you to check with the art and FACS(home ec) teacher to see about supplies of fabrics for their at home kids.

What a lovely thing to do....and great idea. I’ve been volunteer counseling at the high school so I think I’ll check it out.

Good Idea. I saved mine for a lady who no longer needs them so they are piling up. I will contact the school later today.
