So last night I took my first official quilting class. We are working from jellyrolls and spent most of the night cutting our fabric. I learned how to use a rotary cuter and rulers. I have lots to work on this week before my next class but i'm still very optimistic. I got alot of compliments on my fabric so that made me happy.

I have to finish cutting some of material and start sewing on my star points so now that i'm really into it, expect the questions to come pouring out!

I think a class sounds like fun. I'm going to see if there's room in a paper piecing class our LQS is offering next week. I think the pattern is a Mariner's Compass block. Keep us posted (with pics :) ) of your progress.

Good for you...now you'll have to share pictures because jellyrolls are my curiosity I have ever seen one in person and I have never known what to do with them but I am fascinated to learn so keep us updated as you progress along....
