EQ: can you scan in a pattern into EQ?
#1
I just loaded my new EQ7. I've never used EQ before and it's very confusing.
So I have a question for those who know....
Can I enlarge a pattern that is brought into EQ as a .jpg file?
I have a printer printed copy of a non-copyrighted paper piecing pattern. It's for a 7" block. I want to make it as a 9" finished block. Can I put a .jpg into EQ and have it 'blow up' the pattern? (It's only the center part that I really need, I can add the floating background sashing without having to paper piece it. It's the center that needs to be bigger...

Thank you for that info. I am also new to EQ and have wanted to be able to add some accuquilt patterns. That info should make it easy. Love my Studio and was hoping to be able to merge the two.

Hmmmm..... I have a quilt pattern that my daughter picked out for her "Wedding" quilt (she's been married 3 1/2 years)
Anyway, I need to make the quilt bigger. I don't want to make the block bigger just add more blocks to make the whole thing a queen size. Can I scan it in and enlarge it that way? I have been putting of taking the time to learn the program well enough to be able to design the block and then design the quilt bigger.

Sometimes I have great difficulty trying to decide on color options. I have EQ6, can I scan in an the image from a pattern and then start changing the colors? Thanks for any info you can give me.

You will have to build the quilt in EQ but once it is there you can add, delete, change sizes and preview colors. You can import and trace over a scanned image for a block, but the same is not true for an entire quilt unless you are making a whole cloth quilt which is essentially one entire block.
