I don't have dish but my sil does and she tried this and said it worked. Her dish is mounted on her roof and when it got covered with ice in our recent midwest storm her tv was out. Her son came over with a good water gun filled with de-icer/windshield washer. He squirted it up on the dish and she said it took the ice off. Just thought I would put it out there in case anyone would want to try it.

WOW!! Good idea! Even though ours isn't on the roof, it's still a pain to go out and clear off 2 dishes....I'll squirt some of that on it before the next storm! thanks!
