my description would be a quilt that has lots of blocks that have different focus fabrics. so that you would have to look to find the different things in the quilt

Well the one's I have made are with different icons (pitures of peguins, hearts, dog, cats, dot, balloons, whatever you find.) you get the picture. Then I alternate the icon blocks with a normal piece of material and sew it up in rows.

Think of the travel game you might have played in the car or with some friends...

Some one would say "I spy a red apple" and then the others had to find it and tell you where it was. Helped to pass the time without fighting.

Same thoughts as the quilt...learning or recognition skills or just for plain fun....

I'm trying to collect 5" squares for two of them and am slowing gaining some ground with the effort (shamelessly asking about Buzz Lightyear & Woody from anyone, lol)

Sometime you put two of each dog, ballons, candy fabric all over so a Little One looks and SPY's the matching icons or to learn here's a kitty, here's a tree. Usually a child's quilt. type in 'I Spy' up in search and check out some of the pictures

Go to the search box at the top of this page and put in "I Spy" and quite a few pictures will come up.

You're welcome, and they are so much fun to make. The little ones really like them.
