For those of you who maybe interested, Red Snappers is a loading system for Long Arm Quilting Frames. Some use a pinning system, velcro and even zippers.

I purchase a set of Renae Haddadin's Red Snappers while in Paducah. After working with my leaders to create the casing I needed for the rods I loaded a quilt using them. In the time it took me to load this quilt I would normally still be pinning one edge. When it came time to remove the quilt, it was done in just moments! If you have ever used a zip lock bag you already know how the Red Snappers work only with this "zip lock" your placing a layer of fabric between the edges that make the seal.

I've included a link to here to her site videos to show you just how they work. If you machine quilt on a frame system make the investment. You won't be sorry.

Very clever.

Reminds me of the thingies I used to bind reports/papers with in school.

I can imagine the Ah-ha moment when it occurred to her.

eta: so the price is under $100 with the extras and shipping - seems a really good deal on something you'd use on EVERY quilt you loaded, and the time saved adds up quickly.

Thanks for the information. Certainly will save us longarmers from the pricked fingers from the corsage pins. Love the initiative of those on this quilt site to explore verious topics. I have learned so much from everyone.

I saw them demo'd at MQX last month and was very intrigued. They seem like they are a great innovation for LA. When I start doing more quilts I may just invest in a set.

I bought mine in Dec. and love them. I hated pinning and
the red snappers just take minutes to load the quilt. They
are a little tight at first but get looser with use. Well worth
the money.

I ordered a set yesterday and am anxious to receive it. I forgot to order extra of the small clamps...will I regret that? Or does the set come with enough of them?

I didn't even think to order an extra set of small clamps. And after using them, I really don't think I need them.
