OK, I did the burn test on a piece of fabric it see if it was 100% cotton...it came out soft and ashy....
My brain fog is caused by fibromyalgia, and I can't remember for sure,. if soft and ashy is 100% cotton or weather it is the hard and curled up...
I know someone whose brain is working, will have the answer.
Please.......

I have just GOT to tell you. I have bought fabric from TSs or yard sales for YEARS. Also WM used to have bolts of unknown fabric. So I kept a box of matches in the car. I'd test a piece if possible to see what it was. Well, someone gave my youngest son a cannon fuse. You got it he just had to burn test it. Well, it was a cannon fuse and it did what cannon fuse does when you burn it. I went up the stairs and asked him if he smelled anything burning. Nope. He didn't smell anything burning. I went back down stairs - I still smelled something burning. ARGH. KIDS. So I went back up and noticed a burned spot on the carpet. ARGH. So I asked him, 'Why is there a burned place on the carpet???' 'I don't see anything' 'Yeah sure WHAT DID YOU BURN???' 'cannon fuse' 'Oh did you get it out' 'Yeah' So I got busy doing other stuff. Later went up the stairs and had to use the potty. In the potty was what was left of the cannon fuse. He couldn't get it to go out any other way. I think he was scared spitless. Oh and there were burn places all the way from his room to the potty. Cannon fuse drops burnt ash pretty quickly and it is cannon fuse no matter how you test it - we got that straight as soon as DH came home.
