This is going to be so awesome when it's finished. I love the idea of using batiks for this. Are you pre-washing your fabrics?

Very nice. I just bought the book and my fabric is on it's way. I'm also doing batik but my blocks will each be a different batik with cream background. I purchased 10 yards of background. How much did you get?
