I had bought the largest one when JoAnn's had their quilting ntions 50%.

I just made 6. First yoyos ever.

When you get to the end of your stitching, when you reach the knot, take 3 more stitches. Be careful not to split your thread on the begining stitches.

This gives you a full circle when you pull the gathers. Much easier than trying to figure where to take the stitches when you are pulling the thread to gather.

Your thread ends up outside (in the gathers). Keeping the gathering taut, gently separate the gathers. Take your anchor stitch knot deep in the gather, on the bottom side of the gathered fabric. snip thread close, but leave 1/16" or so. The gathers when smoothed back into place will hide your anchor knot.

Much easier than trying to anchor inside the gathered fabric & hiding it so you dont see threads in the middle of the yo.

Aren't these new patterns fun? I love to sit at nite watching the boob tube and make them. Either that or battenburg Christmas ornements.
