    This swap is for a postcard or trading card, the size will be the same 3 1/2" x 5" for either. This will allow those that want to mail a postcard to do so & for those that want to embelish their cards can mail as a trading card in a regular envelope.

    Sign up deadline is September 21th, 2011
    send PM with real name, mailing address, and email address.

    Mailing postmarked by September 28 , 2011 .No Exceptions!

    Participants must sign up to make 2 cards to be exchanged.
    The subject for your cards will be;

    1. "My love of sewing"
    and
    2. "Objects of my desire"

    Names of receipents will be assigned September 26, 2011
    All US postal guidelines apply to mailing of postcards.

    You may want to research making fabric postcards and trading cards for ideas and techniques.

    I will do a tutorial for both soon.

    Swap is open to the 1st 100 quilters of all levels and abilities and open to anyone.
    If you can't ship internationally please let me know in a PM when you sign up.

    Your cards must have your board name and 2011 written somewhere on the front or back . Your may provide photos of your cards on the provided thread prior to mailing. If your card is mailed without posting your photo, have the receipent post the card for you on the provided thread.
    Use any combination of fabrics you want, use stiff felt or temtex like material for the inside of your card. Finish size needs to be 3 1/2" x 5" you may use embelishments such as beads, yarns, threads, fabric paint, be aware your postcard maynot be accepted at the post office and you may have to use an envelope to mail your card.     PS: what is a good source for temtex? I have inquired at JoAnn's and so far, they don't carry it. Also, Would 2 pieces of heavy Pellon work?

    I've used stiff felt, works as well and a lot less expensive. I have temtex if you need some pm me. Try the double pellon, it will probably be fine!

    Thanks for your offer. I just purchased heavy Pellon at JoAnn's on Saturday, so I am all set! :-D

    I have used kids art foam as my stiffener and you can sew thru it easily. Moosegirl
