My husband and I are going to Sacramento and then traveling around that general area (Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe).

Can anyone out there suggest any quilt shops to go to? If you could give me the names of the shops and the towns/cities they are in that would be ever so helpful.

Thanks!

Suzanne

I know its more west but Quilted Angel in Petaluma was loaded with fabric patterns and all kinds of stuff related to quilting. I'm not familar with quilt shops over towards Sac, Have a great trip singing I wana go home!!! Where my grandchilren roam, where vegies are fresh and not frozen to death in the winter time.

Straight from my Outlook contacts list. I used to live in Reno and would try to go to Sacramento at least twice a year. Only 2 hours away.

I'm not sure that the store hours are the same anymore.

If you get to Reno you should go to Windy Moon quilt shop. I go frequently with a friend of mine who lives near Reno and it is great. Right near the casinos so maybe you could win a lot of money and buy LOTS of fabric!

If you are coming as far north as the Redding area, there are several nice LQS.
Quilts in the Attic in Cottonwood
the Sewing Room in Redding
Sew Whats in Redding
are the ones where I spend money *smile*

I don't know if you're going to be close to Alturas, but we have a nice little quilt shop. If you're going to be coming this way, PM you and I'll meet you there.

Definitely! Until three weeks ago, I lived 5 minutes from Windy Moon. My favorite place! Once a week, after staff meetings, I would go to Windy Moon just for "therapy." "Petting" the fabric is almost as therapeutic as petting my cat.
