This is my version of "Petal Patch" from the Fall/Winter 2011 Quilt Sampler magazine. I choose yo yo centers so that I can preserve more buttons from my grandmothers collection. I still have boarders to go and I want to make them slightly larger than the 2" one in the instruction.

This was made from fat quarters I found at Walmart and bought them out. If any of you have them at yours I would love to buy them from you. One is a lime green that looks like a batik and the other is lavendar with little circles inside.

So while I scour my idea books for boarders, here is my progress.

Very pretty, that green and purple is really great together.

How many fat quarters did it take and what size is the quilt?

What a happy quilt! It's lovely.

Purple and lime green - such a fabulous combo.

So far, about 5 of each color. I didn't really count but I know the flowers took one of each. The size with the 2" border in the instructions makes it about 52 1/2 x 68 1/2 inches.
