Santa's Elves are Watching a Christmas tradition quilt
#1
When my 3 kids were small we started a tradition where we placed elves around the house the 1st of December and told the kids "Be Good, Santa's Elves are Watching". Now that my oldest son has 2 children of his own, he asked me to design a quilt depicting our family tradition. It was a lot of fun to design.
I just looked around the house for hiding places to put the elves and then turned them into quilt blocks. I used a curved piecing border and added red buttons for the holly berries and red bells on the ends of the elves hats. I have the 3 quilts done for the kids and am now working on mine. This way each family will be able to remember and carry on our fun tradition.

We always had Elfie in the tree to watch the kids one year he left a note with a small box of candy for them. To this day an elf goes in my tree. Cute tradition and adorable quilt.

Love your quilt!!
We started something like this last year with an Elf On The Self. The kids love it. They are already wondering when "Fred" (our elf) is going to show up this year :-o
