I'd outline the dragons and quilt fire as a filler behind each one, then maybe pearls and swirls in the inner borders and wiggle lines on the outer borders.

I love, love, love this quilt. Soooo adorable. I agree with everyone else that the quilting should be minimal, so as to not distract from the dragons. The idea of flames in the background is great.

I think an echo around the dragons would be cute too. Give it texture and help those dragons pop even more. Since the dragons themselves are interesting and different shapes, an echo quilt design would be fun. Then you can play with something in the borders. But I agree with the others, don't take away from those fabulous dragons with anything too fussy. That is just such a cute quilt!!

Don't know either about quilting it. Just want to say that it is the ultimate in cute. Specially the little "red devil" on the bottom.

What a CUTE quilt!!!!! I guess I would stipple in white around the dragons to make them stand out. I'd love to see each dragon close up.

I would do an outline quilt on the dragons, even on top of the applique. If you don't quilt the quilt evenly (same amount of quilting everywhere), it will get wonky on you. Flames in the borders?
