Has anyone purchased one of the acrylic inserts for the Mini Bow Tuck purse? And if you did, where did you get them from and what size did you order?

I didn't, I used two self adhesive vinyl floor tiles, stuck together, then cut to size.

Floor tile is a great idea. My husband cut a thin board for my stuff.

this is what i made for mine out of plastic canvas. than i made a 'pillowcase' to go over it, tucking the extra into the end. it can be taken off to wash. it does not sag at all

cut two pieces the same, sew top one row in on each side

I used two layers of some really stiff adhesive stuff purchased ay my LQS. Much cheaper than the plastic insert.

You can go to a hardware store and have them cut a piece of acrylic for you. I'd make it about a quarter of an inch smaller in both dimensions than your purse bottom. Double check the measurements by cutting a piece of cardboard first. When you get the acrylic cut, take a piece of sandpaper and sand the sharp edges off the corners and all edges. Make a fabric sleeve for it and tack it in the bottom of your finished bag. This also works with all the other ideas above, plus foam core, corrugated plastic, etc. Another source for purse bottoms are the scrap bins at sign shops. Often free or minimal $$. I just score with a razor blade and the stuff usually just snaps.

Mat board, foam core, thick chipboard, corrigated plastic, recycled political signs, lots of options for very little money.

I bought inserts for the large Bow Tucks at the show in PA in September. They are made of particle board and fit perfectly. I made a sleeve of the same fabric of the interior of the bag. I paid $2.50 for each insert.

    Same here, I make a sleeve 5.5 x 15 and cut a piece of mat board that is 4.5 x 11.
    I think it works well
