Lily - 1910 Frister & Rossmann Hand Crank Sewing Machine
#1
This is "Lily" - my 1910 (aaprox. because records no longer exist of these machine serial numbers) - Frister & Rossmann Hand Crank sewing machine. She was produced in Berlin and bears the badge. I do not use her for sewing as these old machines come with a very long needle which is no longer produced, and I own five only of them. So Lily just gets to sit and look beautiful. She is in full working order. I am posting this for K3n who has a daughter of the same name. :)

Hi Ninnie - Good on you! She is a lovely old dolly - do you use her? You can get tips on cleaning them on NEEDLEBAR - I see you name yours too - I have one called Bella too. Thankyou for sharing !!!

Hi Ninnie - I have actually seen pics online where they take handcranks to sewing group , these babies weigh a ton, so I can imagine what the logistics are of getting them there to group. You can convert a treadle to a hand crank by adding the handle. And a hand crank can also run as a treadle. I love the silver bit on the left hand end of yours at the top- that shape always gets me in :)
