jdavis asked me if I would post a pic and more info about my avatar, and I am happy to oblige! I made "Color My World" for my daughter's wedding gift. The pattern is "SistersScape" by Valori Wells...the 2006 commemorative quilt for the Sisters Quilt Show. Her pattern used floral fabrics in all the center NY Beauty blocks, but I chose to do 'color wheels' with my beloved batiks instead. It is all paper pieced, and took me 8 months to complete. Our daughter got married on the beach at the beautiful Oregon coast. During the ceremony, the quilt was hung in the gazebo reception area, for all to see when we came up the path from the beach. It was striking! And the bride and groom were stunned as I had kept it all a surprise. Forgive me for adding a non-quilting pic, but it went so well with my story!

Your quilt is gorgeous.

What little Oregon town are you from? I live in Creswell. And I do love going to the Oregon Coast. We go mostly to Port Orford. Quaint little town and hope to retire there some day.

Beautifal quilt. I bet that took awhile. I hope they hung it up instead of using it. Great wedding photo too.
